SHEQ4SME Occupational Health and Safety Professionals
SHEQ4SME, CEO, Andreas B Burger, takes on the responsibility is to add value to you and your organisation.
By having your Occupational Health and Safety in place, it will create an opportunity to get more contracts, as no respectable organisation will work with an organisation that does not have its Occupational Health and Safety in place.
Although Safety doesn't come cheap, the absence of the correct safety in place is always followed by penalties, loss of contracts and constant headaches. The cost can take 22% off your bottom line in one year, and no CEO wants that to happen to his business.
SHEQ4SME (Pty) Ltd.’s CEO, Andreas B Burger has been in business & Occupational Health and Safety for 32 years.
SHEQ4SME (Pty) Ltd experience ranges from Food Safety right through to Mining and Engineering, and it includes:
The CEO of SHEQ4SME Andreas B Burger is internationally accredited, this includes Nebosh International Diploma, Nebosh Environmental Management, Nebosh International Construction certificate, and SAMTRAC at NOSA. SHEQ4SME and the CEO Andreas B Burger mission is simple. Helping business to comply as to Health and Safety, and in so doing provide outside expertise as to how to increase their turnover and their bottom line.
For some clients I play the devil’s advocate, challenging their assumptions, till the truth is brought to the front.
For others setting up the Total Quality Management system, so get better control.
As I come in as a safety and quality consultant, the CEO uses SHEQ4SME as a front to bring about "management of change". This has been the most used service SHEQ4SME provides. Many firms have had Business Consultants come and the top management got what I call “Business Consultants fatigue” and closed their minds to new ways. As I come in as Health and Safety, this is not a problem, and I am not an outside “Force” but a must. It makes it easier to change the management view in a new direction.
So why use SHEQ4SME to help your organisation?
Like you, I run my own company, and cutting overheads are one of the ways to improve your bottom line.
My services are efficient, yet cost-effective.
I work on a fixed monthly cost, where I build and uphold your Occupational Health and Safety system on a digital platform. As per regulation, I keep your records for 30 to 40 years depending on legislation.
As part of the services SHEQ4SME offer, I build all your Health and Safety System. I help as a Managerial Consultant, Total Quality Management, Internal Auditor, Business Consultant. All these benefits are included in my monthly fee. I am available to CEO/MD 24/7/365.
ISO 45001:2018 is the new international standard that is adopted by most of the world when it comes to Health and Safety.
It replaced the OHSAS 18001 system that has been the bedrock of Health and Safety for years. I am well qualified to help your organisation to accomplish this standard in a reasonable time, if you already have a Safety system running. If not, this may take 12 months to accomplish.
ISO 9001:2015 is the "daddy" of the standards.
I write all my work with this standard in mind, and even if you never get accredited, the standard is an excellent business tool to help you to control your organisation and increase your client focus and service. If you, however, do want to implement this system, I am well capable and trained to help you achieve this goal.
As part of Health and Safety Regulations and your Tender documentation, you need to hand a Safety file to your potential client portraying your ability to manage Health and Safety.
However, as a Consulting company, let me be the one to caution you on the same pitfalls. It is fine to get a cheap Safety file, but what happens when you get the contract? Now you have to do everything all over again at a high cost. It is one thing to have a Safety file; it is a different game to implement the Safety file on site.
I can give you the most glossy, stunning and well-presented Safety file you have ever seen. But if it is not functional on-site, what then? In the middle of the contract, you get audited, and you get put off-site, and that is a deadly blow to any company.
My Safety files are backed up by a Safety System (also called an Integrated Management System) you can use on-site. It is in line with all the requirements; it has been audited more than 60 times by various players in the market; those include GE, ArcelorMittal, Sasol, Mines, ESKOM and multiple auditors. It is a proven system, and not a fly by night.
The cost to run all your Occupational Health and Safety as to the South African regulation, will be R 5500.00 (excl. VAT) per month for a 12-month contract; including travelling cost for one audit per month, and excluding travelling costs for extra call-out visits.
This service includes:
One (1) audit a month,
Fall Protection Officer,
Building all Safety Files for all projects.
This package contains a lot more benefits, and I would like the oppertunity to tell you all about them face to face, and then you can be the judge on 'value for your money'.
My experience includes:
Business Strategic Rescue &
My mission is simple:
"Help my client's companies to outperform their competitors. Help my clients not just to survive, but to thrive."
My Safety Files are
R 2000.00 (excl. VAT), and are all done on a digital platform; the printing I leave to you. If you want to include the printing, there will be an additional fee.
I will be standing behind my Safety files for the full term that is stipulated in our contract.
I am available 24/7/365. That is my service and the value I add to you.
My service in digital format includes:
It is easy to buy a Safety File off the shelve, or copy and paste from the internet. The problem comes when a qualified Safety Officer or Auditor check your work and find that it is not backed up by an accredited Safety Professional, that is not registered as to South African law at the SACPCMP. This will cost you the project, and if a worker gets hurt, you may find yourself in a compromising position.
Q: I am on site, I need help, what now?
A: All my files are in digital form, you phone me, and I update the file as to your new requirements, and you have it at your fingertips within seconds.
Q: What is the management of change?
A: There is a change in the design, work or clients requirements. You need to change something on the site as to safety; this happens more often than you think. The paperwork is included in the file.
Q: So what happened to the digital copies after the contract is finished?
A: I place all your work on a digital format outside of South Africa to protect it. Some files have to be kept for 30 years; I got this covered. I also keep a DVD digital backup for my clients. This has helped them in the past as they would have some comebacks, and they are blamed, my digital copies helped to clear their name.
Q: What happens when I get stuck and do not understand something?
A: That is very normal, my expertise is vast, and not just in Health and Safety, but in running businesses and strategic thinking. We will come up with a solution; it was done in the past; we will do it again.
Q: Why do you add a daily diary to the site file?
A: It is not part of a safety file, but I add them into the site files. This is the one document that will protect you. Every day the site manager fills it in as to the tasks done for the day, and make sure the client signs them off. In the diary you put things in that may become red flags, as the project may get off track due to things out of control. This may include changes to design, safety issues and delay in receiving the material. It forms part of my project management background and experience.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
